First emerging during the late nineties as part of Bristol “trip-hop’ imprint Cup Of Tea’ roster, Care In The Community’ label activities now coexist beside the audiovisual work of founders Luis Carvajal and Nick Name. This four-track 12” collects together offerings from the Care roster from the likes of The Bees and Leo Elstob, resulting in an experience somewhere between circa-’98 Mo’ Wax and G-Stone. While there are certainly interesting moments to be found here, an overriding sense of datedness proves to be the biggest stumbling block.
