Sintayehu is from the forthcoming Hailu Mergia reissue “Wede Harer Guzo” coming June 17th via Awesome Tapes From Africa. This recording was made with the soulful Dahlak Band in 1978 in Addis Ababa, following the great success of Mergia’s “Tche Belew” (reissued recently by ATFA). Never issued on vinyl, the music on this cassette is quite remarkable.
