John Chantler to release his fourth album Still Light, Outside in August

Australian Stockholm resident John Chantler has a new album on the way, Still Light, Outside, the first release on his own label 1703 Skivbolaget. You might remember the Cyclic Selects we asked him to do last year. The album, consists of four long pieces and combines recordings made of the pipe organ at London’s St John-at-Hackney church that were then subject to extended processing at Stockholm’s incredible Elektronmusikstudion EMS and combined with additional electronic parts created there. Dense, bombastic and dynamic, the album extends upon his experimentations on labels like Room40 and Tapeworm. For more details check here. Here’s a first taste:
