This may or may not be news to you, but I just stumbled across it and found it interesting. Put in an artist name or song into Pandora, and it finds a list of songs that it will thinks you will like. Sounds pretty dinky I know, but on the whole, I was pretty amazed by the accuracy.
Sure, some of the music that it listed wasn’t up my alley, and its not going to have the latest Ltd Edition 7″ put out by an obscure Slovakian label, but on the whole it was – a) pretty close the mark b) artists that I had not heard of. Eg. I put in “Dave Miller” and didn’t mind most of the music!
I intially thought it was an open-source project (due to the look and feel), but then noticed that it is really just a interesting way to try and make a commission out of iTunes. Oh well. Check it out.
