A new editor joins the Cyclic Defrost team

We are very happy to welcome Matt Levinson on board as co-editor of Cyclic Defrost. Matt joins Seb Chan and Bim Ricketson as the team behind the upcoming issues.

Matt’s background in music, media and science has translated into writing on all those subjects for the Canberra Times, Nylon and stylusmagazine.com, among others, and he has been a contributor to Cyclic since the early days. He edits several trade magazines and was Canberra editor for Inthemix.com.au for a couple of years. He puts together a weekly radio show on Sydney’s FBI, DJs, and has thrown parties ranging in size from Canberra’s Gross Motor freakouts through to the gigs at Newcastle’s This Is Not Art in 2004. He likes music with contrast and has a broad background that’s sure to bring a range of new qualities and skills to the magazine.

Matt says: “I’m really excited to come on board as co-editor of Cyclic. It’s always been a good read cover-to-cover, but the reach and the quality of the magazine’s writers keeps improving. I look forward to helping shape Cyclic as it tackles some of the upcoming media shifts.”
