‘I Don’t Know, What or Why’ is the second single from Paris based Oiseaux-Tempête’s forthcoming album “Al-An’!” (it means “now”). It’s the last chapter of a trilogy based around the Mediterranean sea : after Greece (s/t in 2013), Istanbul and Sicilia (ÜTOPIYA? in 2015) the band stopped over in Lebanon, Beirut to record with local musicians, though also in France with – among others – Mondkopf and G.W. Sok (The Ex).
You may also know the members of Oiseaux-Tempête for being invovled in Foudre, FareWell Poetry, Le Reveil des Tropiques or The Rustle of the Stars.
This remarkable, subdued late night piece also features Tamer Abu Ghazaleh, a Palestinian musician based in Cairo. He runs his label Mostakell and plays solo as well as Alif.
“Al-An’!” will be released on March 31st on Sub Rosa records. You can find more information here.
