Having just supported future soul-queen Ngaiire on her national sold out tour, Australian electronic producer LANKS’ visual manifestation for ‘Bitter Leaf’ is a testament to the power of the internet, bringing together a team of creatives from opposite sides of the world in this LA-shot choreographed masterpiece.
LANKS stumbled upon LA-based choreographer Leona Morimune scrolling through Instagram, and enamoured by his work, reached out in hopes of a collaboration. Morimune, who was keen to get involved, contacted director Nathan Kim to join. In a strange turn of events, Kim had actually been a dancer in the clip for ‘The Acid,’ co-directed by RY X – LANKS’ cousin. The collaboration between the three parties resulted in an incredibly raw and beautiful expression of ‘Bitter Leaf.’
