Check out this great clip from the reissue of 1981’s LP+12″ “What Is This Thing Called ‘Disco’?” by Melbourne post-punk disco project Asphixiation, a one off project by Melbourne artist Phillip Brophy, and members of his better known project → ↑ → (pronounced with three clicks of the tongue). The album is a monster of quirky humour and mutant art disco funk. It has just been reissued by Chapter Music, who also recently reissued it’s producer David Chesworth’s album 50 Synthesizer Greats. You can read our review here.

We’ll post a review of What Is This Thing Called ‘Disco?’ tomorrow, but tonight surrender yourself to the Aural Risk.
