The MOFO lineup is Ridiculous

The lineup for MOFO in Tasmania is ridiculously good this year.

If you haven’t had a chance to see it already, we’re talking Pusifier, the Mike Patton Anthony Pateras collaboration tetema (also featuring percussionist Will Guthrie and Erkki Veltheim), Pantha du Prince, DJ z-Trip, Alim Qasimov Ensemble, Circuit Des Yeux, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Niger guitarist Mdou Moctar, Moses Sumney, Tim Catlin’s Overtone Ensemble, Rainbow Chan, and Robin Fox and Byron Scullin amongst numerous others including Peaches Christ Superstar.

You’ll know many of these artists from these pages over the years, and we hope to get down there this year. You should too.

It runs in Hobart Tasmania from Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd of January. More info here.

In the meantime check out this clip of Mdou Moctor playing a wedding in his hometown in Tchin-tabaraden, Niger:
