The video for ‘Animals’ was shot in Los Angeles and directed and edited by Rick Alverson (Entertainment, The Comedy) with story by Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) and Alverson. It stars Val Kilmer (Top Gun, Heat, Batman Forever). The piece was work premiered this week at the opening of ‘Ecco: The Videos of Oneohtrix Point Never and Related Works’ at Los Angeles’ Hammer Museum.
Since his latest album ‘Garden of Delete’ was released in November 2015, OPN has arranged and performed a cover of Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ with a 160-piece choir for Kenzo’s Men Fall-Winter 2016 runway show in Paris. He also co-produced ANOHNI’s Mercury-nominated album Hopelessness alongside Hudson Mohawke, both of whom he recently appeared alongside live at Sydney’s Vivid Festival.
