Europe based Australian composer Anthony Pateras is returning to Melbourne for a couple of shows to launch his two new albums on his own label Immediata edition. If you don’t know Anthony here is an interview we did with him last year. We’ve also reviewed a couple of his recent editions inclusing Entertainment = Control, which you can read here and the sprawling chaotic monster that is THYMOLPHTHALEIN, which you can read here.

North of North: The Moment In And Of Itself (IMM006) features Scott Tinkler on trumpet, Erkki Veltheim on violin and myself on piano, drawing from Xeankian architextures, Carterian set theory, Carnatic music, sharp-edged pointillism and orchestrational symbiosis.

Anthony Burr / Anthony Pateras: The Long Exhale (IMM007) features the incredible clarinettist Anthony Burr and catalogues our psychoacoustic experiments and sparse acoustic excursions undertaken between 2014 and 2015 in San Diego and Berlin.

All Immediata albums are beautifully presented in thick recycled cardboard with silver hot stamped text on the front, containing an extensive booklet featuring interviews with each album’s personnel. Released in limited editions of 300, the project will conclude in 2017 after reaching 15 releases, so get in quick!

DOUBLE CD LAUNCH CONCERTS:

Anthony Burr is in Australia for 3 concerts only, playing in various permutations with myself, Scott Tinkler and Erkki Veltheim on these days:
