DATAA is the work of New Haven resident James Lipnickas. We’ve been beguiled by his sparse and gentle hypnotic sounds created using old keyboards, drum machines, tape recordings, field recordings, and strange loops. As you can tell from the title he’s pretty interested in technology, science, UFO’s, and sci-fi themes.
There’s something quite soothing about his music, these luscious tentative electronic sound worlds that you just fall right into.
