ACMI in Melbourne has announced a summer program that includes Imagine Waking Up Tomorrow and All The Music Has Disappeared. Directed by Stefan Schwietert it follows Bill Drummond as he attempts to pull off one of his most provocative stunts involving a choral project called The 17. Music maverick Bill Drummond has had his fair share of controversy as part of the legendary KLF, a wildly successful pop band that infamously ended when they filmed themselves burning 1 million pounds. You can read about it in one of the best music biographies ever written, The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band Who Burned a Million Pounds by John Higgs. See our review here. His post KLF life has consisted of projects that directly challenge the music industry. It’s on between 17 Jan – 31 Jan.

The season also features WattStax, Mavis, Tehran Taxi, Hockney: A Life In Pictures, Cemetery of Splendor and City of Gold. More details here.
