Ears Have Ears, FBi Radio’s award-winning experimental music program is presenting a night of electro-acoustic, instrumental and electronic music featuring unique musicians from Sydney and beyond, and it looks pretty damn good.

Headlining the bill is Melbourne-based electro-acoustic performer Joe Talia, who will be performing his first ever solo Sydney show. Previously working with reel tape machines and analogue devices, Talia is known for his innovative collaborations with Australian acts like Oren Ambarchi and James Rushford. In solo mode, Talia has released ‘In/exterior’ (Holding Pattern) and contributed a soundtrack to Ears Have Ears called ‘Frozen Terrace’. His solo Sydney set will see him experimenting with electronics, percussion and a revox tape machine.

Playing alongside Joe Talia will be Tasmanian-born electronic musician Matthew Brown, known for his sonic assaults on duelling MS-20s and techno oriented music; Sydney duo Clocks & Clouds aka Kraig Grady & Terumi Narushima who make acoustic music featuring vibraphone and pump organ, and Laura Altman, Romy Caen, Prue Fuller, Mel Herbert & Andrew Fedorovitch – a Sydney quintet of improvising musicians.
