Quantum Entanglement is a project between AUS music cofounder Fin Greenhill (Fink, Sideshow) and Lee Jones (Hefner, MyMy). As is common in music production today this 12â€/digital file has been created through file sharing and remote communication. Yet the claim is that of a traditional musical activity, call and response, or you could just call it a communication form. So both versions of the track, the heads or tails version are each of the pair’ response to idea of dub techno. The Effects Can Last Forever is essentially an ambient dub track that harks back to early 1990′ electronic dub. The heads side reflects a starker more beat driven 4/4 stomper that has echoes of Basic Channel style effects. It introduces the pace and then plays with the structure and uses dub throws and slight metallic flourishes. The tails side is more psyche orientated with a wider array of sounds and not as keen to go directly to the floor elements. It is subtler and has more playfulness, a wider use of effects on all the elements of the track and introduces melodic and rhythm based features as well as leaning on a few acid motifs.
