One Point One starts off with a captivating track entitled Valley Forge by Ochre - undisputably one of the most dreamy, emotive and nostalgic tracks I have had the pleasure of hearing. Its a great way to begin the compilation and the akbum is worth having just to have this track to listen. As the compilation progresses we find that the downtempo nature of the the opening track is a facade for what really lies behind this compilation. A much more beat based series of compositions unfolds. As with a lot of compilations it has it strengths and weaknesses, not every track is going to appeal to every listener and it is that diversity which holds this compilation together. A wonderful journey from breaks, an infusion of hip-hop, and skittering time challenging drums. Zainetica, who donates two tracks to this compilation, is also a stand out contributor to this compilation.
