Paradigm Shift Radioshow Playlist 28 June 2010 – last ever show!

Well. Its over! 15 years of Paradigm Shift has come to a close with this, the last ever show.

Last week I was lucky enough to have Seb come in and we reminisced mostly about the 1995-1999 era of the show. And so for the last show I focused on the 2000-2006 epoch after Seb dredged up the playlists of that time as inspiration for me.

So. I played:

Tooth – Andy’s Rocks [No Strings] (Cryogenesis) *
Flanger – Bosco’s Disposable Driver [Midnight Sound] (Ntone)
Machinedrum – Half The Battle [Half The Battle] (m3rck)
Push-Button Objects – Non Existent (Gescom mix) [Rapid Transit] (Chocolate Industries)
Clouddead – A side [Number Three] (Mush)
Phase 5 – Slyland [Space Bar EP] (Round Trip Mars)
Björk – All Is Full Of Love (Funkstörung remix) [Additional Productions] (!K7)
DJ /rupture – Mole In The Ground [Special Gunpowder] (Tigerbeat6)
Dntel – Umbrella [Life Is Full Of Possibilities] (Plug Research)
Pivot – Manticore [Make Me Love You] (Sensory Projects) *
Squarepusher – Red Hot Car [Go Plastic] (Warp)
Kid606 – Catstep/My Kitten/Catnap (Vatstep DSP Remix By Hrvatski) [Kid606 And Friends Vol. 1] (Tigerbeat6)
Dsico – I R*Cked Britney (Moonwalk Style) [Ministry Of Shit] (Spasticated) *
Venetian Snares – Màsodik Galamb [Rossz Csillag Alatt Született] (Planet Mu)
Soundmurderer and SK-1 – Call Da Police [Rewind Records] (Reflex)
Dizzee Rascal – I Luv U [Boy In Da Corner] (XL)
Atmosphere – The Woman With The Tattooed Hands [Lucy Ford] (Rhymesayers)
Buck65 – You Know The Science [Man Overboard] (anticon)
Deadbeat – Steady As A Rock [Something Borrowed, Something Blue] (~scape)
Rhythm n Sound – King Version [The Versions] (Burial Mix)
Africa HiTech – How Does It Make You Feel [Hitecherous EP] (forthcoming Warp) *

* = Australian Track.

There were soooo many more things I could have played that were evident in that 2000-2006 period but all of the tracks I did play (apart from the last track) were very heavily featured tracks and/or acts and/or labels from that era of the show.

You can of course check out this show and the previous one (with Seb) on Soundcloud

So thanks very much everyone for listening and see you out at Sub Bass Snarl deejay gigs in the future perhaps….

Thanks so much guys. The show opened a whole new world of music to me after I moved to Sydney in 1994. I personally discovered so much great stuff from the show and heard a hell of a lot more over the years that I wish I knew what it was.

Appreciate the enormous amount of commitment and energy that you’ve put into it over the years, 15 years is no small feat.

Thanks again, another small but vitally important part of Sydney passes..
