An Australian magazine focusing on interesting music

Living Room playlist 30/12/2006 2XX 98.3FM Canberra – Last Radio Show of the Year on the Second-last Day of the Year

What a bizarre day. It hailed today hereĀ in Canberra; so much in fact that my front lawn looked like it was covered in Kool Mints. On the second-last day of December, mind you – Canberra does things like that. And then the folks who do the show after me didn’t show up, and so I had to switch over to the BBC satellite link. While I was switching over I realised I’d stumbled halfway into the official BBC report of the Saddam Hussein execution. What a bizarre day. Here’s what I played on my radio show…

Whomadewho – Out The Door (Superdiscount remix)
Manhead – Hey Now (The Rapture ‘Hush Hush’ remix)
Repeat Repeat – Carpark (Second Edition)
Franz & Shape – Countach
Plus Device – Our Pleasures (Realisation)
Bytecon – 100 Percent Pure Adrenalin
Jean-Paul Bondy feat. Megumi – Xeno Persuasion
Mekon feat. Rita Brown – Boy Bitten
Bonde de Role – Melo D Tobaco (A-Trak remix)
Zero dB – Bongos, Bleeps & Basslines
Diplo & Dr. Evil – Mary Jane
Ame – Shiro
Jeff Samuel – The Cave
Severed Heads – 2000 Freedoms Remain (live)
DJ Krush feat. Opus – Trihedron (Stray mix)
Cluster – Hollywood
Alpen – Start Now (video edit)
Triosk – Intensives Leben
Ollo – That Sound
Caural – Re-experience Any Moment You Choose
