Tim Catlin is launching his new cd with his Overtone Ensemble next thursday night in Melbourne as part of the Inland series of concerts.
They’ll be playing some new rod instruments (“doppler-rod” instruments and longer versions of the vibrissa) as well as the vibrissa. They’ll also be playing their rods without any percussion so it will be quite a minimalist, deep listening set. Particularly as the Church of All Nations has some great acoustics.
