UK’s Sleaford Mods have released their new EP TCR (Rough Trade Records / Remote Control Records), and it’s a total cracker.
Sleaford Mods are Jason Williamson (words) and Andrew Fearn (music) who signed to Rough Trade earlier this year. The duo have spent the last year playing shows and festivals and prepping new material, some of which is on this EP.
This track, which is strangely catchy for what sounds like some vaguely aggressive geezer you’d imagine stumbling across in a pub after a couple of pints, according said geezer is “basic politics for the discerning skeptic. The streets are cold and they’re squeezing us until we pop. Low earners first then its onto the middle lot. We’re fucked.”
It’s pretty upbeat.
