DJ Shadow’s new album ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ represented something of a return to form for Bay Area veteran DJ Shadow, as well as a turning point in his musical career, with many of the turntablist elements now being replaced by synths and software-based production. This second single to be drawn from that album ‘Nobody Speak’ offers up one of the record’s highlights, with Shadow going head-to-head with Run The Jewels’ barbed wordplay – indeed, the video, which depicts a gathering of world leaders descending into chaos acts as an apt visual metaphor for the blows being landed here.
