The 2nd Ears Have Ears Live to feature Melbourne’s Half High

0

Ears Have Ears Live is a new series of free experimental music performances and conversations, hosted in Sydney at FBi and broadcast live on 94.5fm during Ears Have Ears: Unexplored Territories In Sound.

Their second live performance will feature Melbourne’s extraterrestrial drone duo Half High performing a semi-improvised experimental soundtrack, made exclusively for the event. Originally from Sydney, the formidable collaboration of Lucy Phelan (NOTV, LUCY CLICHE, Knitted Abyss) and Matthew P. Hopkins (NOTV) creates a damaged form of ambience through meditative synth lines, atmospheric tape manipulation and various electronics.

RIP SOCIETY founder and DIY music enthusiast Nic Warnock will also lead an in-depth discussion with Half High, delving into their composition, creative process, and the broader ambient & industrial music scene in this city.

The show, which is on thursday the 28th of April is free by RSVP: If you email your full name to live@fbiradio.com with the subject ‘EHE LIVE – Half High’ by 5pm April 28 you’ll be able to check it out. You must request either a single or double pass.

And if you can’t make it listen to the show as it’s broadcast live on FBi 94.5fm or fbiradio.com between 9-10pm, Thursday 29 April.
