This Melbourne duo offer bellowing organ, haunting synth lines, relentless drumming and driving vocal harmonies on not just ‘Deep Sleep,’ but across their entire debut album on the newly formed Listen Records, which exists to support, promote and distribute the creative output of underground Australian female and LGBTQIA+ artists.
The album, Awake and Dreaming moves between and beyond synth punk, pop and post-punk. Lyrically it is embedded in themes of nature, feminism and personal growth. The album channels influences of pylon, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees, through its eloquent experimental synth pop tunes.
The album was recorded by Morgan McWaters (Worng) in 2014 with additional recordings made by Stina & Cinta throughout the year. The songs were mixed and produced by Stina & Cinta in 2015 and later mastered by Mikey Young.
Stina and Cinta’s debut album Awake and Dreaming is out now on vinyl LP, and digitally.
