This is Cyclic’s exclusive premiere of Andrew Tuttle’s new track Registration.

It comes from Fantasy League, Tuttle’s second full-length ‘solo’ album which will be released in March 2016 on Someone Good, the avant-pop imprint of Lawrence English’s Room40 label. Tuttle will be performing in Australia and Europe in April/May 2016 prior to a residency at Stockholm’s legendary Elektronmusikstudion (EMS).

We’ve been big fans of the work of Andrew Tuttle for a few years now. His music explores the relationship between instrumentation, structure and genre. Prior to 2013 he performed under the name Anonymeye, under which he recorded 3 highly idiosyncratic albums. With steel strings guitars, banjo, synthesizers and various other electronics, he would regularly mine the space between sound design and musicality, creating lush, highly immersive sonic landscapes.

Tuttle has devised an approach to the notion of Fantasy League loosely based upon the idea of the creation of an album as a utopian fantasy environment.

Last year we asked him to do a Cyclic Selects for us which you can see here.
