Babyfather (aka Dean Blunt) to replace Alessandro Cortini at Unsound Adelaide

It’s a little last minute, but this is what Unsound had to say:

“We regret to inform that, due to health concerns and on doctors’ advice, Alessandro Cortini has had to cancel his trip to Australia for Unsound Adelaide this Friday 26 February. We are sure that fans will join us in wishing Alessandro a speedy recovery. Happily, London-based project Babyfather featuring Dean Blunt (Hype Williams) has stepped in to replace him on Friday.”

The lineup is
London-based project Babyfather (UK) is a new project featuring Dean Blunt (Hype Williams).

Kangding Ray (FR) makes his Australian debut, joining forces with Mogwai multi-instrumentalist Barry Burns (UK) to present a grand, dark and cinematic new work.

Plus Chicago’s father of footwork, RP Boo, and the world premiere of the new live audio visual show from dubstep pioneer and Hyperdub boss Kode9 (UK) with Lawrence Lek.

Chicago’s Jlin (US) will deliver fractured and futuristic footwork alongside performance artist Avril Stormy Unger and installation artist Florence To, and Australian group Tralala Blip, featuring members with and without disabilities, will present an infectious and inclusive live and local show.

We featured a mixtape of Babyfather last week. And Babyfather’s forthcoming album “BBF Hosted by DJ Escrow” is due to be released on April 1st 2016 on Hyperdub.
