Transmit is Tony Buck‘s more rock orientated project. We’ve long known Buck via his remarkable percussion in improvising trio the Necks, though what began as a solo project has since morphed into a real live band.
They’ve just released their second album Radiation on Monotype Records.

“The addition of the psychedelic organ and keyboard sounds of Magda Mayas merge with the basic line-up of guitar, bass and drums to fuel insistent grooves and stretch the songs into trance and ritualistic dimensions.”
They’ve described it as “Shellac meets Tony Williams Lifetime in a relentless journey into outer space.” And there’s no doubting their relentless almost primal festishisation of the rock genre on the first cut from their new album, Vinyl. check it out here:
